kriaforThe gods of Gaia are originally from the old planet, Shar, which was semi-destroyed after the eldest god, Etia, decided to kill off It's creations due to madness. Etia became a tyrant of sorts, but was killed by Caelus, Serafina, Asmodei, and Erebus. To ensure that Etia would never come back and kill what lifeforms remained on Shar, Caelus ripped out Etia's soul and ate it.
Shortly after the ordeal, Caelus, Serafina, Asmodei, Erebus and Nyarlathotep leave Shar and make life on a new planet that they find far away from their old star. They name this world, Gaia, after their brother who passed away during the war. Though, this planet was filled with dark energy that possessed Asmodei and caused him to attack his brothers and sister. Caelus ripped the soul out of Asmodei's body while Serafina cleansed him and healed his body.
The planet is purified with Serafina's magic. Erebus and Caelus create the terrain and continents. Nyarlathotep and Asmodei create the wildlife and monsters. They give each continent, creature, plants etc etc names. For my sanity's sake, outside of the continents and some creatures, you can find things on Earth on this planet. Because that's TOO MUCH world building for me.
After everything is created, the gods make their own land, Kriafor that's heavily guarded by three dragons, created by Erebus. Kriafor becomes known as sacred land, and therefor, prohibited to enter. But in truth, that's just where they relax and chill. BUT, after securing the land, they create a statue that blesses it's people with magic and immortality. Fun fact: Yes, you're immortal and can change your appearance at will to look young or old but people can still die from fatal wounds and get sick and die from an influx of magic in the body. No one said it was perfect.
To give mankind a step in whatever direction, Serafina is the only one who created history books of herself and of her brothers. The only person that objected was Erebus because he didn't want to be revered by whatever he created, but he wasn't given much of a choice. The history books that Serafina created were scattered across the planet for people to find. After their discovery, religious sects built temples and shrines to worship them.
